In 2007, Mei Sakamoto was selected to
serve as a
Resident Artist with the
Harmony Theatre Company.  Ms.
Sakamoto is originally from Japan, and
made her fourth New York appearance
with the Harmony Theatre Company.  
She was most recently seen in the Off-Off-
Broadway production of
King of Fuh (The
Players Theatre) as “Gina.”  New York
credits include:
Miss Saigon (The Richard
Perry Theatre),
Galaxy Video (The Red
Room Theatre).  Other favorite stage
roles include:
Les Miserables (“Cosette”),
The Comedy of Errors (“Adriana”), The
Merchant of Venice
(“Nerissa”).  She is a
graduate of the American Musical and
Dramatic Academy in NYC, and
currently in the BFA Musical Theatre
Program at The New School University.  
With the Harmony Theatre Company,
Ms. Sakamoto has originated the roles of
"Aiko Yamamoto" in
Beware: Bernadette!
A Musical Fable
and "Keena Kupono" in
Richmond: A Musical Fantasia.  Ms.
Sakamoto also participated in the
workshop recording of
Code Switching:
An Africana Pageant.  
She is thrilled to be
