In 2006, Miranda Halverson was selected to serve as
the
Program Director with the Harmony Theatre
Company.  Ms. Halverson graduated with honors from
Columbia University, where she studied neuroscience
and was an active member of the University’s
performing arts community, serving on the boards of
the Columbia Musical Theatre Society, Barnard College
Music Theatre, Columbia University Performing Arts
League, and the dance group Orchesis. In her native
San Diego, Ms. Halverson has performed with, directed,
choreographed, written, and designed for, the Talent to
aMuse Theatre Company, the San Diego Repertory
Theatre, the National Comedy Theatre, the Coronado
Playhouse, the Patio Playhouse, the New Vision Theatre
Company, the San Diego Junior Theatre, the San Diego
Shakespeare Society, the San Diego Actors Theatre, the
University of California, San Diego Department of
Theatre, the Nuevo Ballet Española, and the Old Globe
Thetare. Regionally, Ms. Halverson has played leading
roles in
Tartuffe, City of Angels, The Wiz, Applause!, South
Pacific, The Mikado, The Boyfriend, Sweet Charity, A Little
Night Music, Gypsy, Chicago, Kiss Me, Kate, Beauty and the
Beast, The Threepenny Opera, A Chorus Line, How to Succeed
in Business without Really Trying!, The Apple Tree, Guys and
Dolls, West Side Story,
and Children of Eden. Her award-
winning musical,
Vaudeville!, was produced
professionally in 2002. Prior to her involvement with the
Harmony Theatre Company, she played a leading role in
the U.S. touring version of
A Christmas Carol and sang
and danced her way through venues all over Asia with
Miranda!, her acclaimed one-woman show.  In 2009,
Ms. Halverson
produced a musical version of H. P.
Lovecraft's
The Festival: A Blacklight Extravaganza at
Swedenborg Hall in University Heights, Californi
a.  Ms.
Halverson’s participation with Harmony Theatre
Company has been varied; she starred as “Marta” in
Company (to which she also contributed scenic designs),
“Sally Bowles” in
Cabaret (which she also
choreographed and co-produced),
A Wake!  A Musical
Vaudeville,
in which she starred and co-wrote, as “Trixie
Strand” and the tap dance consultant in
Beware:
Bernadette! A Musical Fable,
and as "Felicia Truman", a
designer, and the tap dance consultant in
Richmond: A
Musical Fantasia
. Additionally, she was a co-producer
and designer for
Once on This Island.
