Monroe Moody
Hewitt Jones (Beware: Bernadette! A Musical Fable)

A very talented R&B, pop, contemporary, and gospel
vocalist, Monroe currently resides in Brooklyn, where he
got his early start by attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia High
School for Music, Art, and Performing Arts.  He started
singing in the Harlem Mass Choir and later sung in various
churches as a guest singer.  He has also competed in the
2004 USA-World Showcase at the MGM Grand in Las
Vegas Nevada, which was broadcast on the PAX Television
Network.  Since then, Monroe has sung background vocals
for well-known artists in major New York venues, such as
The Groove, The Coda, Eugene's  Central Park, and La Bar
Bat.  He made his off-Broadway acting debut in
Ghetto
Chronicles,
a hip-hop musical.  In September 2006, Monroe
went to Minneapolis to audition for  the sixth season of
television's most watched program,
American Idol. He
landed in the top sixty (out of over twelve thousand
contestants) and was eligible for the Hollywood round.
Now back in New York, Monroe is pleased to be a part of
this production.
